Looking For A Family Home Within Walking Distance Of The Town Centre But Which Still Feels Peaceful And Private? This 4 Bed Townhouse Could Be Just What You Have Been Waiting For.

If you want a lovely family home in a quiet location away from passing traffic then this lovely 4 bed end terrace townhouse could be just what you are looking for.

The house is accessed from a quiet lane with direct access to Victoria Park. The front door leads into a hallway with hard floors for ease of cleaning and the kitchen, lounge and downstairs cloakroom are off it while a useful cupboard under the stairs provides some additional storage space.

The kitchen/diner has room for a family-sized table and overlooks the front garden and Victoria Park. A cosy lounge with a feature fireplace has patio doors out into the garden which extends to two sides of the house and is much bigger than it first seems. A gate at the end of the garden leads to the garage and parking space.

On the first floor is a large double bedroom with hard flooring overlooking the garden and the fourth bedroom, a large single or small double which is currently used as an study. Its a great place to work although the views across Victoria Park might distract you a bit! You will also find the family bathroom with a useful shower over the bath on this floor. Up on the top floor are two more double bedrooms, one with lovely views over the park again. The principal bedroom also has an ensuite with double width shower and fitted mirror-fronted wardrobes.

The accommodation is incredibly flexible with some homeowners having moved the kitchen into the lounge to create a bigger space and turned the kitchen into a downstairs bedroom, which is ideal if you have elderly relatives coming to stay. The very spacious bedroom on the next floor has then become a lovely sitting room. The size of the rooms mean they lend themselves to remote working while at the same time, you don't have to compromise on space.

Slipps Close is a great location which puts you within an easy walk of the town centre and all the bars, cafes and restaurants on offer. The Badcox area has a Co-Op and Morrison's Daily, as well as Bar and Bistro Lotte and several takeaways for those times you can't be bothered to cook. If you want to look after your wellbeing there are several yoga and pilates studios within walking distance and if you need a break you could pop out for a coffee and a cake at the Community Cafe in Victoria Park.  Children will enjoy the play area and skate park and there are several schools within easy walking distance. The train station (which has just been voted the second best Food Hall in the Country by The Times) is within walking distance as are shops and supermarkets and The Roman City of Bath is 15 miles away.

The new owner may want to do a bit of cosmetic updating to make it their own but regardless it will make someone a lovely family home in a great location and an early viewing is advised.

The Local Area

Frome is a popular Somerset town which is regularly voted one of the best places to live in the South West. It is home to a very creative community of writers, artists and musicians with the music venue, The Cheese and Grain, having previous hosted a surprise gig by the Foo Fighters as well as Paul McCartney's pre-Glastonbury gig last year. It offers a variety of high street names and a large selection of independent shops and cafes, particularly on the iconic Catherine Hill. The town hosts a very popular independent market held on the first Sunday of every month between March and December and an Arts Festival in July. Frome was one of the first places in the country to have a Community Fridge where residents and shop owners can donate excess food to the community to prevent food waste and also set up the first Share Shop where you can borrow anything from a highchair to a garden strimmer for a small fee. There is a leisure centre with pool, several theatres, a train station with good links to London, Cardiff, Dorset and Devon and whatever your hobby or passion there is bound to be a club or society which will welcome you.
